Two posts in one day?!

A picture of my dear baby going for a sleigh "slide" on the ice at his grandparents in Stettler.
Well what to do when my child is napping and I don't want to clean the house....and I also can't seem how to get pictures onto my digital photo frame because my iMac does not have a port for an SD card so I don't know how to transfer files to it.
I've been thinking, so I have my real estate license and have already started helping out my dad and his partner, we are one team now, and I was going to do this part time. Which I still will, but I am itching to help someone buy or sell their house. So I had to verbalize that cuz I just think it would be the greatest thing to help someone out that way. Well anyways, that's all I really had to say, I'm ready to jump into 2009 and take it for all its worth!!

A post....

Well it been over a year since I last posted. I'm doing this obviously more for myself since I don't think there is anyone reading out there.
But...I may start blogging again because I'm joining in the Project 365 rage. This may be a good way to track what I take pictures of. If you want to see what i'm talking about: www.beckyhiggins.com/blog this will change everything. Documenting our life EVERY DAY with a picture. So far it's been easy just taking pictures of my bundle of joy, Kade, but I really should take pictures of other mundane things like my pile of laundry or the kitchen that is constantly being cleaned, etc.
Anyways the scrapbooking project that really isn't much scrapbooking is hopefully going to tune up my photography skills too.
So what's new with everyone these days?
For us, since I last posted, I had a baby boy, Kade Zhuyau Wilson who was born Dec 3, 2007 who weighed 8lb 10oz and was 22 1/2 in long. We've celebrated his first birthday already! Time sure does fly. I got some new toys, an iMac and an iPhone and boy do I heart all things Mac now.
We went to California and Victoria in 2008 and we are heading off to Cabo San Lucas in a week!!! And planning to also visit friends in the States in the summer sometime.
Curtis started a new job and is in a management position now, I started and finished my real estate license correspondence while at home with Kade. 2009 I am hoping to do it part time.
What else? Ask away if you please.

Baby Coming!

I know, I haven't written, I must post some new pictures, after all baby is growing and I'm getting quite a few comments "oh! you have a baby in there or oh! you're pregnant!" obviously in a stage people feel quite comfortable asking. :)
I'm 7 months pregnant and only have 7 weeks of work left YAY!

Monthly checkup

Yesterday we had our monthly check up, I'm now 17 weeks almost 18 (as of tommorow).
We got the results back from my blood test and from the ultrasound. Everything sounds pretty textbook, it was nice to find out what blood type I am, I didn't even know until yesterday!
Also it was great to hear baby wilson's heartbeat again, about 152-156 so its slowed down since last check up but right on track its supposed to do that :) Everything seems to be healthy so I am very grateful and thank God for providing us health.
The last couple days have been brutal for heartburn so anyone who has any natural remedies please let me know. I don't have it so far today, so I'm hoping maybe its done for now. Baby Wilson has moved up quite a bit, she or he is right under my belly button now.
My weight gain is right on track also :) I gained 4 pounds in the last month, so things are going well.
I also asked about going to Hawaii, we head off on Saturday WOOHOO, drink lots of water on the plane and make sure I walk that's what I have to remember so I dont get swelling etc. I trust that God will watch over us and keep me on track so that everything continues well.
I'm starting to get really excited - we've emptied out the guestroom and our friends are going to help us paint the base coats of the baby room and then when we get back from Hawaii, Curtis is going to start doing his creative artwork. The nursery is going to be different and I am excited about it and Curtis is really excited about it :)
Well - till next time!

Meeting Baby Wilson

Yesterday was the ultrasound - after being able to empty my bladder the ultrasound was alot more enjoyable! 1 1/2 Litres is aLOT to be drinking in 1/2 hr time span.

So cool to see our baby, I was jealous because Curtis got the first glance as the ultrasound tech was taking some measurements and the screen was not turned so I could see. But when she turned the screen over so I could see it was unbelievable...similar to when we heard the heartbeat it was hard to really sink in the feeling until afterwards. Wow - what work God does! I couldn't believe that there is a little baby inside of me that God is knitting this baby in my womb. We are so excited to meet Baby Wilson in 5 more months.

The days are alot better these days making pregnancy so much more enjoyable and such a blessing. In the days of green I thought the end would never come and life is so much more enjoyable - my little belly keeps growing and I believe baby is moving closer to my belly button soon. We also saw Baby Wilson move in the ultrasound and i THINK I felt baby move in the middle of the night last night, hard to really know the feeling yet - but soon enough :)

Praise God for his beautiful creation!

I'm Baaack

Like many my attentions have been taken by facebook - utter facination of reconnecting with old friends and new friends ... so I have neglected the blogging world... AND with feeling so ill the last few months it was hard to be creative and write anything other than feeling like I was going to throw up. Indeed June is already being great - I feel excellent, I am in my SECOND trimester... yes, I am PREGO! And sooo excited, especially now that I am feeling alot better. I didn't think the day would come and I am so happy for the days the last few that i have been feeling so much better!

post of the month

Seems like my blogging days are slowing up - many things have been preventing me from getting to the blog, work for one is extremely busy these days and I also haven't been feeling 100%.
June is going to be great - :) the next two months will be quite hectic in our world, with major events happening with my work (I'm an event coordinator) and our schedule is pretty booked up.
I'm plannign to relax on my last day of holidays (Easter Monday, yay!) hope all is well, and I do plan to blog again more regularly probably just not for a bit.

It's been a long, long time....

Since I have posted - I have been pretty hectic busy at work so it's left little time for me to post during the day and our evenings always seem to be filled.

So I have a few minutes before its lunch time (boy am I hungry!) so I thought I'd post something.

Well in the last few weeks life has been full of scrapbooking (which I feel the addiction is growing, I love it!) and seeing friends (love that too!).

Yesterday Curtis and I went to The Overcoat at the Citadel, we went for the rush tix so its half price. It was an interesting play, no words, all music, and it was classical. Good yet strange, lots of artsy things and I must say the part that sticks out is the majorly buff guys sewing on the old fashion sewing machine (I think there were 5) with no shirts and overalls. WEIRD - too many things to say about that. :) hahah.

It was a nice out with my hubby, and of course it was after my pilates class which has been awesome. I am not dropping major pounds but I am certain I am getting toner cuz my pants dont feel so tight anymore! So all is well, and it is so relaxing to come out of there after a busy day at work, it's like a massage. So that's what we've been up to lately.

This coming week will have more fun in store I am sure.
